About Me

Hello there! My name is Selena, and I’m a Games Designer based in the UK, driven by a passion for games, storytelling, and art. I have a solid foundation in both creative design and technical implementation, with a particular focus on level and environment design. As a lover of story-based games, much of my work highlights narrative-based games and branched narrative work.

 Throughout my portfolio, you’ll find a range of small stories and interactive experiences designed to showcase my approach to narrative-driven game design, menchanic-focused sprint work, along with some industry work.

 

Beyond game development, I compose music, write stories, and stay engaged with the latest trends shaping the games industry.​

UE5|Blueprints|

Reincarnate as a villainess in a novel in this third-person story-based adventure.

Solo Project

  • ​Wrote key documents for the game

  • Originated the core game idea and concept

Vertical slice replicating the signature feel and mechanics of Supermassive Games.

My Contributions:

  • Created the Level & Environment design of the scene

  • Created visual FX for gameplay events

  • Designed functional user interfaces

  • Set up cutscenes

  • Integrated ambient soundscapes

  • Created custom materials and trim sheets

Indie first-person horror experience that takes you on a nightmarish journey into the unknown.

  • Crafted a compelling story and dialogue​

 As the Keeper of Fragments, you traverse haunting liminal spaces to heal broken minds.

My Contributions:

  • Originated the core game concept

  • Created the Level and Environment design of the Game Map

  • Placed Gameplay elements in a strategic way to ensure smooth gameplay

  • Created Niagara particles for immersion purposes

UE5|Blueprints|

 Single-player platformer that takes you on a nightly journey through a dreamer’s subconscious.

My Contributions:

  • ​​Developed the Level design and Environment design of 3/4 Levels

  • Created UI interfaces

  • Developed gameplay using Blueprints

  • Designed and implemented puzzle mechanics

 Board Game

2-5 player co-op board game where players take on the roles of animals trapped in a cursed woodland.

My Contributions:

  • Originated the core game idea and concept

  • Developed the artwork for the player cards and game box

  • Created the animal cards and their unique abilities

  • Developed gameplay and balanced mechanics
